North Korea’s Resort for Tourism

On July 1st 2025, North Korea is set to open it’s first beach resort in what the regime calls “fostering tourism.” On Opening day a record two guests attended, that being Denis Rodman and the Supreme Leader himself. Unbiased local source called it “ the Greatest Resort in Asia” who then mysteriously ‘disappeared’ for not calling it the best in the world. One key difference from the waterpark is the mascots and lack of concession stands due to communism. While resorts in the west feature characters, such as Reese’s peanut buttercups and Mickie Mouse, it features characters like “Greedy,” the capitalist pig and “Traitor” an inflatable political prison sentenced to hard labor.
